By Nature to Nature  | The result from the applications of passive designs and learning.
Stonehaven ,Victoria
This project endeavours to establish an ideal learning environment catering to both children and adults. Leveraging passive design strategies and a deep understanding of the site’s natural attributes, the architecture harmoniously merges with its surroundings.
Central to the design is the incorporation of natural elements. A gently sloping green roof complements the natural gradient of the hill, enhancing the site’s greenery. Strategically placed green walls adorned with stone strips at child-friendly heights further integrate the building with its natural context, blurring the lines between the constructed environment and the surrounding landscape.
The architectural focal points are the large, centrally pivoting doors at the entrances. These doors act as visual frames, drawing visitors into an open courtyard enveloped by various learning spaces. Additionally, a secondary entrance offers access to a marsh area, enriching the educational experience with direct interaction with natural ecosystems.
Through thoughtful passive design applications and a symbiotic relationship with nature, this project aims to create an educational sanctuary that fosters learning, creativity, and a deep connection to the environment, Guiding individuals visiting into an open courtyard surrounded by learning spaces and a secondary entrance which leads to the marsh.
